About the Community

Skate & Grind Uganda is a community-driven nonprofit founded by passionate skateboarders to build Uganda’s next generation of riders. After 15 years on a skateboard, our founder and his friend Ashraf envisioned something beyond skating: a platform that nurtures talent, embraces cultural identity, and creates opportunities for young people. Through skateboarding, we empower youth to express who they are, celebrate their roots, and share their stories with the world. We’re building more than a skate culture—we’re building confidence, community, and a future shaped by our own identity.
